In my voice I hear yours
He shrieked.
At the top of his voice.
As loud as he could.
It was as if his innards were bursting out.
His veins nearly exploded.
The blood in his vessels was almost ready to empty itself.
The thrust of his voice alone was tearing him.
His eyes were filled with tears of exhaustion.
And yet all this happened in tune,
In the tunes of love.
Those around him were lost in the melody,
The melody which they thought was of love.
He was lost too.
He was lost too in the melody of love.
He could not hear what he was singing,
Not in at least in his voice.
What he heard was in the voice of another.
And strained that bit harder to listen,
To listen to his own voice,
His own song of love…!!!

The title was very Rumi-sque. The shrieking was jarring.
